Brian founded Concept Companies in October 2004 with Concept Construction. After successfully completing numerous residential, commercial, and industrial projects in various parts of the U.S., Brian began investing in real estate, which led to the creation of Concept Development in 2009. Since then, Brian has been responsible for developing over 300 commercial projects in Florida totaling over approximately 2 million square feet. Brian is a licensed General Contractor in multiple states, Florida Roofing Contractor, and Florida Real Estate Agent.
Matt joined Concept in 2009 as Director of Construction. After three years at that position, Matt transitioned into Director of Development. Matt’s extensive construction knowledge is an invaluable asset. He has a keen eye for recognizing key development issues in the planning phase complemented by the knowledge of how to properly resolve issues before they become real problems. He is a licensed Florida Building Contractor and Real Estate Agent. Matt oversees and has an active role in site selection and presenting properties to clients for approval and serves to ensure that projects stay on their critical paths through the acquisition and permitting/entitlement process.
Prior to joining Concept Companies in June 2016 as its Chief Financial Officer, Jeremy served as Vice President of Operations for a national association of certified public accounting and consulting firms. His professional background includes public accounting experience in tax compliance, planning, and consulting; private industry experience in real estate consulting and sales; and non-profit board service. Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master in Accounting from the University of Florida.
Will Mueller, Chief of Staff, brings more than two decades of management and leadership experience to the Concept Companies executive team. With expertise in commercial real estate, human resources, and as a U.S. Navy Captain, Will has successfully built and led high-performing teams of more than 500 people, driving operational excellence. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in finance from The University of Virginia and his Master’s from the Naval War College. In his free time, Will spends time with his family in Tampa, rooting for his sons’ sports teams. - certified professional in Human Resources, - Licensed Real Estate agent
Seth joined Concept in 2016 as Director of Development. With a Master of Building Construction and a Bachelor’s in Architecture from the University of Florida, Seth has experience on all sides of the real estate development process. As a developer, consultant, and broker, Seth brings 20 years of commercial real estate experience to the team. Over his career, Seth has managed over $675 million of commercial real estate development volume across a broad geography. Jim is an entrepreneurial minded financial executive with 30+ years experience, including public accounting, manufacturing and real estate. Jim has focused on policy, procedures and controls reengineering and evaluating overall corporate strategy with leaders to increase bottom-line performance and working capital. Most recently he spent 8+ years in commercial real estate development and property management with different companies having up to $900m+ in assets and is excited to bring his talents to assist Concept Companies mission of being the best-in-class, Real Estate Developer.
Stephanie joined Concept Companies as General Counsel in February 2022, where she leads the legal team that supports a portfolio of companies that are vertically integrated to provide a best in class commercial real estate development experience. Stephanie’s prior experience includes nearly a decade in commercial and residential real estate and more than 11 years in state and local government in various legal and administrative roles. Stephanie’s experience as an attorney in private practice and state government proved to be invaluable for success in her roles with the City of Jacksonville, where she led several initiatives that combined her background in real estate, finance, and administration to assist in reviving the Neighborhoods Department, creating financial assistance programs for families and individuals, and the City’s first Community Land Trust. Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University, a Juris Doctor degree from Florida Coastal School of Law, and is a member of the Florida Bar. Stephanie currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Jacksonville Transportation Authority and for the Jacksonville Community Land Trust, previously was a member of the Board of Directors for the City of Jacksonville’s Downtown Investment Authority, and was a previous Board Member of CREW Jacksonville, member of JWLA, FAWL, and served for 2 years as a Committee Member of the Florida Bar’s Leadership Academy. Stephanie lives in Jacksonville with her husband Chris and their 11-year-old daughter.
Mary Reichardt is 15-year veteran in the industry with a diverse portfolio of marketing, communications and public relations work. Her experience marketing and managing mixed use development with the state's largest privately-owned retail center spanning 300 acres and hosting two million square feet of business in the heart of Gainesville is a valuable asset to the Concept Team. Additionally, her work in the tourism sector as Director of Marketing for Alachua County, and experience in the private sector for Gainesville startup company Reserveage Nutrition, grown at breakneck pace from zero to $70 million in revenue in four years, has led to a firm understanding of the startup, business, visitor and local culture in Alachua County. She has managed PR, communications and all media relations from established local media, to working closely with The Wall Street Journal, Vogue Magazine, Women’s World, Chain Store Age, Shopping Center Business, QVC, The Dr. Oz Show and GMA to name a few.
Holly completed a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Florida in 2011 and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Florida. In her 13+ years in the field of Land Development, she has worked in the roles of Project Engineer, Construction Administrator, and Project Manager for a variety of projects including small and large scale commercial, office parks, higher education, residential subdivisions, and multi-family housing developments. Through her experience, Holly has gained knowledge and understanding to successfully complete a project through the planning, design, permitting, and construction process.
Brandon graduated from the University of Florida with a Master of Civil Engineering Degree with a focus on Construction Engineering and Civil Management. He has worked in the construction industry since 1997, with his most recent position prior to joining Theory Construction in 2020 being Vice-President/Chief Construction Officer for McLauchlin & Company. He managed and oversaw several types of construction projects, including healthcare (surgery centers, radiation oncology centers, PET CTs, senior living facilities), hospitality, educational, general commercial, and agricultural.
Tiffany completed a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction from the University of Florida. Tiffany brought 11 years of preconstruction experience including high profile work at hospitals, theme parks and casinos across the state and country to the Concept team in early 2020. She was in the role of Vice President of Preconstruction for the Theory Construction team overseeing their design-build, multi-site, life science and commercial projects. She has recently transitioned to Senior Director of Development for Concept Development overseeing our custom tenant builds and self-development work.
David joined the Concept team as Director of Multifamily Housing and Hospitality and will oversee The Progress District project, specifically The Convergence area. He has over 25 years of experience in Real Estate, most recently as the Director of Real Estate at Viking Companies. He was responsible for land acquisitions, land development, design and the underwriting of student and market rate multifamily developments.
Before joining Concept Companies as the Director of Science & Technology Ecosystems, Kyla served as Executive Director for the WT Enterprise Center. The WTEC is a regional business incubator, technology accelerator and coworking space in Amarillo, Texas. Her background includes experience in developing programs around entrepreneur support, strategic planning, marketing, operation management, coaching founders, and working with local, state, and national partners and stakeholders. Kyla holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication with an emphasis in advertising/public relations and a Masters of Business Administration from West Texas A&M University. She is a member of the International Business Incubation Association (InBIA), and serves as a board member for SXSW Pitch and the Global Accelerator (GAN) Hubs.
With over 22 years of experience, Luke has worked in various types of construction. From residential to commercial, his expertise spans across a diverse project typology including: office, commercial, retail, developer based mixed-use, higher education, hospitality, high-end custom residential, retail, and renovation. His recent construction projects include Merieux Nutrisciences and Lacerta Therapeutics.
James Holt serves as the Managing Director for Real Estate + Development for Concept Companies and works in market analysis, site selection, and negotiation through to project coordination for clients and projects spanning a diverse spectrum of industries. James has been a Business Executive with over 22 years of experience in M&A and Private Equity, and through this has worked across various real estate functions, completing more than $100 MM in development and more than $100 MM in direct family office investment.
As Managing Director of Real Estate & Development at Concept Companies, Rob Whitmire leads acquisition and development efforts for build-to-suit clients including Dollar General and Concept's Early Childhood Education division. He manages a team of Real Estate Directors responsible for site selection, contract negotiations, preliminary site due diligence and presentation of BTS opportunities to their respective clients. Prior to joining Concept in 2020, Rob was heavily focused on commercial real estate brokerage throughout the southeast, closing over $200 million of transactions widely varied across the real estate spectrum. Rob graduated from Emory University's Goizueta Business School with BBA and MBA degrees focused on management, marketing and entrepreneurship.
Before joining Concept Companies in 2022 as the Director of Finance, Jeff was a Director of Finance with a large multi-national defense and aerospace company for 14 years called BAE Systems. His background includes work in Operations Finance, Financial Planning + Analysis, Accounting, and Audit. Jeff holds an MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the State University of New York College at Brockport in New York.
Kathy started at Concept Companies in 2022 with over 11 years of experience in real estate accounting and over 5 years of experience in real estate closings. She received her MBA from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and holds a CPA license.
Barrington joined Concept Companies in 2023 as Director of Information Technology. He has over 20 years of unparalleled experience in all aspects of IT. He has worked as a Chief Information Innovation Officer and VP of Information Technology within the healthcare, banking, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, K12, higher education, government, airports, retail, biotech, ecommerce, insurance, and professional service industries. He has experience in leading organizational change management initiatives through the effective use of data and technology; demonstrated success and multi-year experience leading complex organizational improvement initiatives; demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively manage both fiscal and human resources; and a successful track record working with internal and external constituencies.
Chris’ love for human resources and people operations began during his 16-year career at The Home Depot where he served in various leadership roles in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan. These roles included various HR positions and included the role of Store Director for his last eight years with the company. In 2014 it was time for a change and Chris and his wife Karissa moved to Gainesville, site unseen, after taking a series of surveys on a website called findyourspot.com. This move was inspired by the absence of summer and the abundance of snow! Chris has also been a realtor in Gainesville, led ground operations for Delta Air Lines at the Gainesville airport, and was the Training Administration Manager for The Mankind Project. Chris holds a bachelor's degree in Organizational Management; Human Resources and an MBA in Human Resources. Chris is passionate about his work in multicultural education and leadership development. Finally, he is very excited to meet every employee at Concept Companies and eager to contribute to our collective success.
Before joining Concept Companies as the Executive Administrative Assistant to the President and CIO, Jennifer served as the Executive Assistant to the Dean of the University of Florida's College of Pharmacy, which has ranked in the top five pharmacy colleges in the nation for 11 years. Jennifer brings experience as a strong administrative professional with experience in fiscal, human resources, research grants, event planning, and exceptional customer service. In addition, she provided mentorship and training to new assistants at the college and was instrumental in developing an administrative assistant group providing collaboration, coaching, and learning opportunities to foster camaraderie and teamwork. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in history from Florida International University and is a member of the International Association for Administrative Professionals.
